You’re so passionate about what you do but you’re branding doesn’t reflect this. You might have DIY’d your first logo but find that you second guess yourself when it comes to font and colour choices.

Booking

Once we’ve decided to work together, a booking contract and invoice will be sent to you via email. We’ll agree a start date and once your deposit invoice has been paid, a project timeline will be created. I always ask clients to be available for feedback during the process, so the timeline means the project moves along nicely!

Strategy & discovery

The next stage is all about getting to know you and your business inside and out. I’ll send over some discovery questionnaires and we’ll get to know your ‘what’ and ‘why’ and those all important ideal clients and customers. This is also a good time to think about marketing roll out - business cards, social media graphics - all the things that will help make you and your business shine.

Initial moodboards
& concepts

Two initial branding concepts will be created and supplied, alongside moodboards and the reasons behind design choices. These will include primary and secondary logos, brand marks, colour pallets, font choices/styling and image direction. Mock ups will be created so you can really envision your new brand.

Refining stage to final concept

Here we’ll choose one of the concepts (or a combination of the two) and refine the elements together.

Client words

“I am so grateful to have found Emma. She really is a pleasure to work with. I went through a complete re brand and was looking for a designer who could create a whole package. I was worried that I wouldn't find someone who would understand my vision and that at the end of the process I wouldn't like the final design. My worries were instantly laid to rest once I spoke to Emma. ”

Frequently asked questions about branding design

  • Your primary logo is your main brand mark. You’ll use it on your website header or your business card - it’s what you’ll use most often to represent your business. Your secondary logos, brand marks and patterns are more flexible and these can be adapted to suit the form of media that they’re placed within, such as packaging and social media - all of your marketing roll out - ultimately telling your unique story.

  • While a single logo might seem like the only thing needed to launch your business, it won’t tell your full story or fully represent all you have to offer, you’ll also likely have to change this many times over. This is the reason why I only design full brand tool kits. Everything that is created within the branding and identity package are visual, responsive assets that are going to help tell your story on a deeper level for many years to come.

  • During the strategy and discovery stage, we’ll think about all the items that you might need to launch (or relaunch) your business. Things like business cards, social media graphics, media kits and more.

  • During the project the majority of our communication will take place through email and digital forms, such as recorded screen shares. I’m happy to schedule calls to talk through strategy or any process questions but having everything either written down or recorded means generally nothing gets missed and important items can be re- read or replayed as needed.

  • Once you’ve decided to go ahead with the project, I will send you a booking form to sign along with a deposit invoice. Once the deposit invoice has been paid I will create a timeline for the project and the design process will start on our agreed date. I’m often booked up a few weeks in advance, so if you have a launch date in mind and you would like to work together then please do get in touch.
